my colors

these are the only colors i can think in right now. i just painted my nails this orangey red & my hair just got some champagne toner love (i had my first date with carly & i'm looking a little bit like frenchie). maybe i'll call it champagne wishes & caviar dreams.

in other personal news - i'm having major vanity issues as hives creep their way all over my upper body. i'm going to see a derm today, where i assume they'll tell me it's an allergy & tell me to do what i've already been doing.

i'm also hoping to get my halloween costume finished & my 10 minute top sewn this week, i am going to my taproot orientation, hosting a small dinner, working at chicks play hard, viewing some distasteful film. hmmmm - i wonder if all this will help or hurt the curing of lizard skin?

lenten rose-helleborus

something about these flowers (helleborus x hybridus white ppotted group) make me happy & inspired. such rich colors & varying textures; it kind of looks magic.

all freckles

a lack of posts huh? i'd say so.

bart & i just got back from our 8 day trip to el pescadero, in the baja. it was a fantastic trip, 80 degrees & 100% sun, it was much needed & deserved. i'd recommend it to anyone; sierra de la costa was the perfect casita, just 100 yards from the beach & run by great people. we spent most of our time sitting on the beach & swimming in the ocean at our beach & los cerritos; we did make our way to la paz for the day, eat lots of tacos at barajas tacos & drink a lot of tecate & tequila.

on a color & design note - i was amazed by the natural & man made color palettes of the baja. la paz was filled with burnt corals, seafoam greens & off white. i also liked the greens, warm greys & bursts of red found on our drive through the desert. i am hoping to do some color schemes from my trip - keep your eyes peeled.

wear palettes

i enjoy visiting the satorialist fashion blog every once in a while. in addition to looking at the styles & articles of clothing, i like taking in the image as a whole. the blending of person to clothes & clothes to background. the wear palette blog collected around 1500 different palettes extrapolated from his clothing pictures & will continue to update it daily. i like that this idea is becoming more & more common, taking fashion colors & using them in everything from print design to interior decorating.
